In Comm.care, Informal Users (such as Person, Carer, Guardian) can be added to Circles in order to access information such as Documents, Roadmaps, and appointments of that Circle. They are managed on the Participant tab under Circles.

PersonThis role is given to the person that receives the services. Can read all documents and comment on them. They can also update notes. |

GuardianThis role is given to the person that is legally responsible for the client. The Guardian can give access to the Circle to individual users such as family and friends. The guardian can also, if your organisation agrees, grant access to the Circle to other organisations that provide services to the client. |

CarerThis role is given to the person that looks after the client just out of love, like a good neighbour, close friend or family. Can read all documents and comment on them. They can also update notes. |
Before adding an Informal User, make sure that there is at least one Care Recipient with the option Has Carer

There are chances you will want to change informal user's information such as avatar, email, phone, address...; or they forget the password and you need to send them a reset password link. To do that:

Edit
button to edit, or click on Send reset password email
if the user forgets their passwordIf you wish to change the role of a user or remove an informal user from Circle:

to remove the user from Circle.Each informal user role has its own default permission to access Circle's information. These roles are defined by Comm.care to help you quickly set up user access, which is deeply researched and suitable for most cases. However, there will be some complicated cases that need more than that. Comm.care allows you to fully customise access to Circle's information for each informal user. Here's how:
