Add New Services to My Organisation

Once you have planned your Services based on the funding sources, business model, and human resources, you are now ready to set-up your Services in Comm.care. This article will show you how to set up your organisation populating all the field correctly for better tracking the revenue generated by each service, hence making Comm.care, an effective case management platform.

Go to 

My Organisation > Services > Add New Service (at the top right).

Unit price: Enter the average fees charged to the Client if applicable.

  pro tips for ndis You can enter a flat fee when your funding source is a grant, fee for service, donations or corporate philanthropy— so use the Service title/description field to explain what the fee covers (duration etc.) 

If your funding source is DSS or NDIS, additional fields specific to these funding sources will appear.

Once you have finished completing the information click on the blue  Save changes button on the bottom right.

Adding an NDIS Service to My Organisation

Adding a Service funded under the NDIS requires completing additional information. This extra detail is shown on the screen when you select  National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) on Funding Source and feeds into your Progress Notes and the reports that your Organisation can extract to complete an NDIS Bulk Upload.

First, you define which parts of a Participant's plan your Service relates to, by inputting:

  • Support Purpose
  • Outcome domain
  • Support Category

Depending on the Support Category, you can then further refine your Service based on relevant  Registration Group/s (depending on which you are approved to deliver under) and then select the specific Support line items that are relevant for this Service and your business (depending on your market/capacity/qualifications).

While adding the support line items, you will be able to choose the pricing under the period tab. If you follow the latest NDIS Pricing arrangements, set the period as 'latest'. 

Latest: The prices are managed by the system and updated everytime the NDIS pricing changes

Comm.care - 2021-07-07T112145.534To set a fixed price as per your organisational needs, set the period as 'manual' and you will be able to add and edit the price of your choice.

Manual: The prices are managed by you and it will be your responsibility to make any changes pertaining to the prices.

Please note: The price set here is for your entire organisation and not for a single participant.

Travel time, Report Writing, and Non-Face-to-face charges:

The NDIS allows you to claim travel time fees and non-face-to-face activities such as report writing. Comm.care helps you manage it with ease:

  • When you Add Support Services to a Circle's Roadmap, you can select to charge for travel time and a pre-agreed travel time amount related to the Service.
  • Each time you log a Progress Note, you can select whether it is Report Writing or Non-Face-to-face support.
  • When you create a claim for Report Writing or Non-Face-to-face support, the travel time fee will be set to 0 in order to avoid overcharging your Client.

This simplifies the process of ensuring that a Service within Comm.care is accurately aligned to the NDIS’s complex pricing structures — which means using Comm.care will lead to more accurate record-keeping, claims, billing, and reporting.
